Broadband speed test
Check download, upload, latency and jitter from this browser. The test runs against this website's own server. It does not ask you to sign in, and it does not store the result.
Run a test
Ready when you are.
The download uses 6 connections at once and the upload uses 4, each for 10 seconds, after a short latency check. On a fast line or a metered plan that can move a lot of data.
- Download

- Upload
- — Mbps
- Ping

- Jitter

When the test finishes, this note compares your download with the speeds Netflix publishes for HD and 4K, and your upload with the speeds Zoom publishes for video calls. Ping is described as a rough guide to delay. It describes this test only.
What a result is telling you
A result is the speed between this device and this server at that moment. Wi-Fi, other people using the connection, and a busy server all show up in it. The package name on your bill does not.
Figures are payload megabits per second: one Mbps is one million bits of the test data per second. Protocol overhead is not added back on, so the number can sit a little under a line-rate reading of the same path.
